I went with High Brass Kennels for my training needs because their prices were what I was looking for. I called Jim and he gave me a rundown about how I should go about having my dog trained. My lab was 6 months old, so Jim recommended that I start with their obedience program for one month and then go with collar training for two weeks before putting her on birds for the upland training. It was a very hot summer for training so I kept my dog at High Brass Kennels for 2.5 months so Jim could get everything that I wanted done.  Jim kept in touch with me how the training was going and any concerns he had about my dog. Anytime I called or e-mailed Jim, he got a hold of me that night, I was very pleased with that. 

Jim called me to come and pick my dog up and when I arrived we worked together on some things and he showed me what he had done with my dog.  He showed me her strong points but also showed me things that needed to be worked on. I was concerned about certain things but he told me how to continue training to get those things taken care of. I took my dog out for the MN pheasant opener and a few times after that and I can say Jim did his job.

My dog is very impressive in the field thanks to Jim. She is a pheasant machine at 10 months old. I am very happy that I chose High Brass Kennels for my training needs. I highly recommend using Jim for training your hunting companion.
